Audio Clips
Julian H. Clark was always quick to share a story, and he had lots of them. I picked a few to share with you below. The audio isn't great, but keep in mind that these recordings are over thirty years old.
There have been books written about the Hunt-Gant gang of Florida, and Julian spent a decade chasing them all over the Southeast. He locked them up many times only to have a judge release them later. Eventually they died in Alactraz. Of all the scum buzzards Julian put behind bars, it was an easy decision to use these two families as the anchor antagonists for my series. This clip is the first time he introduces them.
This one about the Spanish flu epidemic is particularly apropos considering the pandemic we are experiencing today.
Kids will be kids, and Julian’s were no exception. He tells multiple tales about them tearing up cars. Here's a fun one.

It's funny to me how many tales involved whiskey since it was during Prohibition and because we never thought our grandfather was a drinker.
It was hard to tell when Julian was telling you the truth or just another one of his jokes.
This one always gave me a chuckle because I spent a few hours in the same Brunswick jail as dad.
I struggled with how or when to include this in the book, but it had to be in there. I would rather have kept Riley a little longer, but it just didn't work out that way. I think it works.
I could write an entire book on pranks and jokes alone.
If you travel a lot you’ve probably walked into the wrong hotel room at least once. Personally, I’ve done it more than once, but this one takes the cake.
